The current population in U.S is over
300 million people, so United States has
the world's third largest population. The
United States population represent a mere
4.5% of the world's population, so that means
about one in every twenty people on the planet
is a resident of the U.S.
In 1790, the year of the first census of the U.S.A
population, there were 3,929,214 Americans.
But in 1970 there were 203,302,031 Americans in
the census. On October 17, 2006 the U.S population
officially reached 300 million.In the future, at least before 2050, the United States
population will remain the world's third largest.
